Chemtrails resemble Contrails but they are not the same at all. Chemtrails have purposefully added particulates and they persist for a greater length of time and appear thick and clumpy and can be mistaken for clouds. Unfortunately these particulates are dangerous, minute particles which rain down upon us and can cause illness. Chemtrail debunkers claim that the chemtrails are simply frozen plane tracks, but they can't explain why normal planes flying through that same air at the same time don't leave any tracks at all. They also can't answer the question why this phenomenon has only been seen since halfway through the nineties and often can't be seen at all in thinly populated areas (sometimes with far colder air).
